Sali Berisha expressed confidence in the victory of the May 11 elections in the meeting with the democrats of unit 7 in the capital. In his speech, the leader of the DP said that during this year they faced the most brutal forms of censorship, but they proved invincible to the Albanians that they defended the right causes.
"I wish from the bottom of my heart a year at the height of our expectations, a year of the opposition, a year of our victory. Dear Belind, dear Lefter, Klevis, Avni, Grigels, Genti. A heartfelt greeting to you too, for the work you do and have done during this year, in which we went through situations in which we proved ourselves in front of the Albanians, first women and men, young men and women undefeated, because we defended just causes. We had no superhuman power, but the power of the cause of right and truth is superhuman, it is as divine as it is earthly. During this year, we faced the wildest forms of repression, the wildest forms of censorship. We faced the ugliest manifestations of the narco-state and narco-dictatorship, but today we are more determined than ever in the victory of May 11. Today, we are more confident than ever in the victory of May 11, because today, before every Albanian, we present ourselves as honest, courageous advocates of his interests".
He said that the PD will present to the Albanians a program, which provides an emergency response to the terrible poverty, according to him, that is alienating the Albanians.
"We have steadfastly defended, first, the national interest, which is the first interest of every civilized person. We have done everything to protect the assets and public funds of Albanian citizens from a greedy kennel that the earth has never seen, which distributes them among its own clans, impoverishes and makes Albanians miserable every day. We are presenting to the Albanians a program that provides an emergency response to this terrible poverty situation, which drives Albanians away from Albania every day, every night. I think that these are the factors that many people want to call 2024 the year of the opposition, but we prefer to call 2025 the year of the opposition, the year of our victory."
