Monitoring of public activities is not stopping the misuse of public assets in the electoral elections. The Democratic Party expresses dissatisfaction with the monitoring method, warning of criminal charges against majority officials.
Since January 11 of this year, the Central Election Commission has placed state institutions under monitoring. According to the provisions of the Electoral Code, their public activities should not be included in the electoral process of May 11, which has led to around 3,500 requests for authorization being registered with the CEC, and of this number, only 6 have been banned.
This monitoring process for the DP representative at the CEC, Franci Nuri, is not yielding the expected results, considering the activity to be merely formal.
"It's just a formal process," said Nuri.
In the absence of prohibitory acts from the CEC, the DP will turn to law enforcement bodies.
"We will denounce the electoral asphalt in the middle of Tirana," said Franci Nuri.
At the next meeting, the CEC also decided to remove propaganda materials from a Socialist Party electoral office near the ballet school under the argument that it was near voting centers. (A2 Televizion)
