Upon his exit from SPAK, where he implemented the court's decision to appear, Democratic Leader Sali Berisha commented on the results of the May 11 elections and answered the question of whether he will be the MP who will open the first parliamentary session of the new Assembly in September.
Berisha rejected this opportunity to open the Parliament, even though he is the oldest MP in the new legislature. The DP leader stated that he cannot take on such a role, since according to him, the Parliament is the product of a manipulated electoral process.
" I continue the battle against this most monstrous theft in 32 years of pluralist history. The theft has been warned, as it has been denounced in 4 international resolutions. We will continue the battle until the free vote is returned to citizens. It will never happen that I open the session. The theft occurred with government decisions, without hiding it ," declared Berisha. (A2 Televizion)
