The Albanian government has decided to open the border crossing at Vlora International Airport.
The decision was made today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers, as the announcement states that the border crossing point will be in accordance with international rules for the passage of citizens, both at entry and exit.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are charged with the implementation of this decision.
This decision comes as the construction of Vlora Airport is nearing completion, writes A2 CNN.

OPENING OF THE BORDER CROSSING POINT AT VLORA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 1, Article 8, of Law No. 71/2016, “On Border Control”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior, the Council of Ministers
DECIDED:
1. Opening of the border crossing point at Vlora International Airport for cross-border air traffic of citizens.
2. The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are responsible for the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette".
