A lot of hassle and little work, the Nikolla-Spiropalit Assembly approved fewer laws than Gramoz Ruçi's

The four-year marathon of the Assembly ended with a series of approved acts, many debates and little political dialogue. The consecutive sessions of the last legislature created more the idea of an arena of clashes than a hall that approves laws through debate and dialogue, thus sowing much conflict and little constructivism, writes A2 CNN.

In the end, after four years, the balance is taken of how efficient this legislature of the Assembly has been, led in part by Lindita Nikolla and Elisa Spiropali. If we refer to the comparison of the figures, it turns out that in relation to the Assembly of Gramoz Ruçi, the last four-year period has been deficient, as it has approved fewer acts. Specifically, 328 laws during 2021–2025 versus 487 laws in the four-year period 2017–2021, and of course, there are no major reforms in these acts.

If this legislature is not known for any major reforms in the approval of laws, the production of political crises is not far behind. From physical clashes between deputies to cordons of the Republican Guard, from flamethrowers in the hall to the burning of chairs.

Among rare acts of political agreement, majority and minority MPs agreed to significantly increase their salaries.

The analysis of figures or events naturally leads to the question: what good did the last legislature bring to the country, which cost citizens around 64 million euros? A question that is also a challenge for the new parliamentarians who will wear the lawmaker's suit in September. (A2 Televizion)
