A day after accusing five members of the Socialist Party of vote buying, the Democratic candidate for Lezha, Gjin Gjoni, has been reported to the police for defamation.
Lezha Police have referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, initiating proceedings in a free state for Gjoni, after the people he accused of vote buying - Denis Pervathi, Eraldo Smaçi, Paulin Gjergji, Rigels Nicaj and Emirjan Lazri - have denounced him to the blue uniforms.
" The Lezha Police Commissariat services referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state, for the criminal offense of "Defamation", for citizen Gj. Gj., 55 years old, resident of Lezha, candidate for deputy of the political entity "Democratic Party", after citizens DP, EL, ES, P. Gj. and RN (representatives and sympathizers of the political entity "Socialist Party") have reported that the 55-year-old has published on the social network "Facebook", a post through which he defames that 5 citizens are implicated in vote buying and voter intimidation ", the police announced.
John yesterday denounced that the aforementioned officials are intimidating citizens and buying votes on behalf of the left-wing majority.

As the election date approaches, elements are increasingly openly appearing that are trying to distort the will of citizens through vote buying. I publicly call on SPAK and the justice authorities to act immediately against these individuals, to avoid clashes and tensions that may arise. We will not allow democracy to be trampled on – anyone who attempts to tamper with the free vote will face us!
