Prime Minister Edi Rama has mocked the opposition after announcing the holding of the fourth intergovernmental conference between Albania and the European Union, where, according to him, several more chapters of membership negotiations will be opened.
"What did they say? No more chapter openings huh?! Was Europe alarmed by the narco-dictatorship huh?! They didn't even give me dinner because I behaved badly huh?! Uh huh huh... On Monday in the EU for the Fourth Conference of negotiations and another series of chapters that are opening. These are the most intense negotiations in the history of integration and when you think that Montenegro has been negotiating since 2012, while we have been for years and when you also think that our calendar is only 3 years, so we close them in 2027 and we are ready to enter the EU, then you can't help but say to the honchos of the political and media swamp, this is a miracle of freedom???? God damn Albania????????????️??????????God damn Europe", Rama wrote on Facebook.
The fourth intergovernmental conference of Albania with the European Union will be held on April 14. The news has been published on the official website of the European Council, where it is learned that negotiations for the group Chapter 2 related to the internal market will be opened at this conference.
So far, our country has opened negotiations and started work on Group Chapter 1, which deals with the rule of law, and Group Chapter 6, which deals with foreign relations.
During her recent visit to our country, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, said that it is entirely possible for Albania to be an EU member state in 2030. She praised the reforms, but said that their implementation and especially the rule of law are key to integration. (A2 Televizion)
