Balla in Berlin: This is why we need the fourth mandate. Diaspora has an objective judgment on the great change of Albania in the last decade

The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament and the Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla held a meeting with the Albanians who work and live in Berlin, writes A2 CNN. Balla declared that the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama in the fourth mandate complete Albania's membership in the European Union. According to Minister Balla, the Albanian Diaspora has an objective judgment on the great change in Albania in the last decade.

"Many of you say: well, well, we will vote, but will we have our representatives of the diaspora in the Assembly of Albania? Are there designated seats in the assembly for the diaspora? Albania here is similar to Germany. So in the German Bundestag there are no designated seats for Germans who vote in the diaspora. Our diasporas are not compared because Albania has an almost equal number of its citizens with the right to vote who live outside Albania, with those who live inside Albania. It is not the same case with Germany.

The Socialist Party still existed in 2021, so one of my colleagues, Lavdrim Krashi, lived in Great Britain for 30 years and, like some of you here, engaged in political administrative life. At some point, you responded to our invitation and became part of our list for the district of Dibra. Today he is a member of the foreign policy committee and heads the sub-committee for the diaspora in the Assembly of Albania.

In these elections, there will be more," declared Balla. In Berlin, the SP's minister and political leader for the diaspora promised that the Albanian government will undertake to pay Albanian language teachers for the children of every parent with Albanian blood.

"The thing we need to do better starts with the primer. It starts from the obligation that Albania has, the Albanian government, the mother country, the parliament, the opposition, all together that we must guarantee that every child born from a parent with Albanian blood must be taught the Albanian language. The government must have this obligation. And the truth, here in Germany I have seen very beautiful cases, to be honest they are very touching and very motivating, when the Albanians of Albania, the Albanians of North Macedonia, Presheva, Kosovo and Montenegro come together in one associations and with the support that will not be missing from the Albanian government to have an Albanian language teacher on a Friday or Saturday, such as these programs. I was in Bavaria, where children from all Albanian regions gathered together in a hall on Sundays to learn the Albanian language.
