Former DP MP Belind Këlliçi has stated that experts from the highest levels of the Republican Party in the US and President Trump's campaign will come to Albania to assist the Democratic Party's strategy in the elections.
Këlliçi made the comments on the 'Debat' show with journalist Alba Alishani on A2 CNN, where he said that this also shows the excellent relations between the DP and the US.
He added that for those who have been concerned about the international isolation of the opposition, in the coming days there will be a series of important developments and meetings between Democratic Leader Sali Berisha and international partners.
"Yes, I was there on the night of Trump's inauguration. I was invited along with Mr. Mediu to 2 of the 3 official ceremonies organized by Trump's staff and the inauguration committee. It was an atypical ceremony, because after 40 years the scenario of President Reagan's oath was repeated, where he was sworn in inside the Capitol. The reason was the frosty weather with extremely low temperatures. The temperatures in Washington were minus 12 degrees during Trump's inauguration.
