In a meeting with residents of three districts in the capital, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha called on women and girls to vote for the Democratic Party on May 11 for all those men and boys who, according to him, were expelled by Edi Rama. In his speech, Berisha emphasized that
"Men have taken to the dirt roads to provide for their families and he would come out and beat his chest that women in Albania have managed to be 70 percent of the workforce. So, dear women and girls, mothers and sisters, on May 11, vote for yourselves, for your men who have taken to the dirt roads, for the sons who are not here, for your people who were expelled from Albania by Edi Rama's policies, for your dignity, for your love for family and Albania."
During his speech, Berisha promised that his political force's priority will be Albanian youth and stopping the mass emigration of young people. Addressing 18-year-old voters participating in these elections for the first time, Berisha emphasized that "the biggest goal is to return the nation its youth."
The opposition leader called for a massive turnout in the May 11 elections, promising significant tax cuts for businesses, investments in high-tech and renewable energy, and support for gender equality. He described the race as a mission to free Albania from misgovernment and return public assets to citizens.
