Berisha: Small business is the main generator of employment, the DP will do everything for its success

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that small businesses are the main generator of employment in Albania.

Berisha made the comments through a statement to the media at the Blue headquarters, where he said that today the situation in small businesses is depressing, writes A2 CNN.

He also said that the DP's program for small businesses foresees an increase in the ceiling for tax-free businesses from 140 thousand euros to 180 thousand euros, which, according to the former prime minister, was very well received by citizens.

Excerpt from Berisha's speech:

In the meeting with the small business, I found a desperate situation there.

I found people who had the lowest sales.

I found vendors who informed me that they sell almost nothing.

I found others who told me that I'm the youngest here, there are no young people, there's no one buying.

I found businessmen, women and men, with the most absurd fines from the municipality's looting squads.

So, I found a desperate situation for these people.

But on the other hand, I was pleased to note that the DP's program for small businesses, namely the increase in the tax-free business ceiling from 140 thousand euros to 180 thousand euros, was very well received.

That the reduction in the price of energy from 18 lek to 6 lek, the halving of the price of water, soft credit lines for small businesses, the reduction of tariffs for public spaces from 1,500 to 120 lek, the amnesty of all fines imposed on this business and the establishment of a limit on municipalities not to tax this business more than 1 percent of turnover, these are what I found.

I saw optimism there.

There I saw a transversal support, despite the political beliefs of the DP's package for small business, for its Made in Albania effort.

Since I spoke only to business there, I wanted to affirm to them, word for word, what I promised and that will become a reality in the first three months of the DP's government, with this statement.
