Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has harshly attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama. During the presentation of the candidates for the Durrës district, the Democratic leader declared that Rama has not slept for two days because of the Democratic campaign advisor Chris La Civita. Berisha described him as "the greatest comeback genius in history" and mocked Rama's communication strategy.

During his speech, the leading democrat also unveiled some of the main promises of his political force's electoral program.
"There will no longer be a pension in Albania below 200 euros, pensions above 200 euros will increase by 20%. Minimum wages will increase from 400 to 500 euros. Average wages will increase to 1200 euros. Teachers' salaries will increase to 1500 euros. In the first 100 days, the compassion package will be law, it will be in force", said Berisha.
Berisha promised that "in addition to the 200 euro subsistence minimum, they will have a consumer card."
"The consumer card will mean that low-wage earners, pensioners, those on economic assistance, others who are unemployed, will get food 20 percent cheaper. The state will refund their money," said Berisha.
Focusing on domestic production, Berisha said: "Great Albania is not a project if we do not guarantee a strong economy. Production, production and only production in all four corners of Albania. Albania is a country blessed with extraordinary reserves, underground, aboveground, touristic and versatile."
Berisha spoke about halving taxes, stimulating and favorable policies for the return of Albanians from the diaspora that will be implemented immediately.
"We believe in your free initiative, we will transform public assets into your assets. We will halve taxes everywhere, and more than halve them. Five years without any taxes. Soft loans for them. Soft loans for all women who want to run businesses. Grants for them. Soft loans for young people who start businesses. We will do everything so that young people can build their dream in Albania ," Berisha said.
According to the leader of the Democratic Party, "Great Albania will never be built if young people do not build their dream on this land. Great Albania is the Albania of the dreams of young Albanians."
"Albania becomes great only when it reaches the greatness of the Albanian family, when the Albanian family is a solid family, a family of values, a family of vision and education," Berisha said.
The democratic leader also underlined zero tolerance towards organized crime.
