The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to a post by Prime Minister Edi Rama on social media, where he wrote that he had held a meeting with CDU official, Elmar Brok.
Rama wrote that Brok had congratulated him on his victory and said, "Edi, congratulations! Well, I came to Tirana again to kill you, but every time I come to kill you, you climb higher."
Meanwhile, in his message in a statement to the media, Berisha writes that Brok remains a friend of his and the Albanians and, according to the former prime minister, his congratulations to Rama were ironic.
"He remains a friend, and his congratulations are an irony. It's an irony, don't ask him. He is a friend of the Albanians and their free vote. The congratulations are irony," Berisha said.
We recall that Brok was also a member of the European Parliament and held the position of chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee there. (A2 Televizion)
