The leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, through a post on social networks, casts doubt that the Socialist Party has alienated the vote of the Diaspora.
According to Lapaj, the Socialist Party had in its possession the lists of Albanians who voted from abroad, as well as their phone numbers and addresses. He also publishes the case of an immigrant from England, who according to Lapaj was contacted by a British phone number on behalf of a socialist candidate.
" Where did the SP find the data of voters from the diaspora? From our fact-finding process it turns out that the SP has contacted registered voters from the diaspora in various ways, including by messages. In the case I am presenting, it turns out that the number +44 74 11 505458 on behalf of the SP and one of its MPs contacted Albanians in England before the elections on May 11, showing that in addition to having information that these citizens were registered as voters from abroad, they also had their telephone contacts. It turns out that they knew their names, telephone numbers and addresses ," Lapaj writes.
The leader of the "Nisma-Albania Becomes" coalition in the May 11 elections adds that the questions we are now raising are quite simple and lists them as follows:
1. Where did the Socialist Party and its MPs get their data?
2. Does providing the numbers and addresses of voters registered abroad violate the personal data of these citizens?
3. Is providing voters' personal data to one political force and not to others a violation of the regular process for free and fair elections? (A2 Televizion)
