"The cornerstone that irreversibly united the two peoples on the path of integration and not a matter of parties"... For the first time Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke, joining the concerns over the debate about the Albanian language in North Macedonia.

He made the comments from the evening organized in honor of the politician and patriot Arbën Xhaferri, shortly before the Constitutional Court in Skopje spoke after Ali Ahmeti's letter raising the alarm about the violation of the rights of Albanians.

"I think that what Albanians have acquired as citizenship rights in North Macedonia is not a matter of the Constitutional Court, it is not a matter of laws, it is not a matter of the temporary will of political parties, but the Albanian language in the Republic of North Macedonia is issue of matter that has helped in an exceptional way not only to keep North Macedonia together", said Rama, writes A2.

Describing it as "patriot Arbën Xhaferri's greatest dream", Prime Minister Edi Rama requested that the Albanian language in North Macedonia not be affected: "The Albanian language in North Macedonia is a matter of matter that has helped immensely to not only to keep North Macedonia together, but also to nurture a spirit and a first way of coexistence between the two state-forming peoples of North Macedonia, the Macedonians and Albanians".

The law on the use of languages entered into force in 2019 and significantly advanced the use of Albanian, but did not find wide application in more areas. The Constitutional Court is reviewing the requests for the revision of the law which provides that in judicial, administrative, executive procedures, as well as in all bodies, bodies and institutions, the Macedonian language and its Cyrillic alphabet, as well as the language spoken by at least 20 percent of citizens and its alphabet.
