The PL vice-president, Erisa Xixho, has stated that the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, is being kept in extreme isolation, just for the electoral effect he creates, before the elections of May 11, 2025.
Xixho made the comments in 'Diary with journalist Erion Dushi' on A2 CNN, where he said that although he is in prison, Meta maintains contact with the chief democrat Sali Berisha and the general secretary of PL, Tedi Blushi, for the organization of the political action.
She added that Meta's arrest will turn into a strength for the Freedom Party, as according to her, all structures have begun to commit 10 times more to the election campaign.
"Meta is being held in extreme isolation, because we are in an election year and he is being held in prison for the electoral effect he creates. Relations with Berisha are maintained by the President of PL, Ilir Meta.
Undoubtedly he is in contact with Berisha, even the general secretary also maintains contacts with DP, we in Parliament maintain contacts with DP deputies. So Meta himself is in harmony with everyone, not only with the leadership of the party, but also with the coalition.
