At the door of the special prosecutor's office, Sali Berisha also announced the opposition's first action in the Assembly, announcing the establishment of an investigative commission for electoral crimes. Focusing on the statements made a few days ago by the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, that the indictments for electoral crimes were not complete, Berisha stated that the verification of these statements will be the object of this commission. This means that Dumani may also be subject to a parliamentary investigation.
Sali Berisha began to resolve the dilemmas of the opposition action in September. The appearance before the Special Prosecutor's Office against the coercive measure was used by the democrat leader to declare that in the fall, Altin Dumani is expected to be under investigation by the opposition.
Berisha further clarified the ideas of the parliamentary investigation at the DP headquarters when he stated that the SPAK leader must be held accountable for uninvestigated electoral crimes.
The opposition's accusations about the May 11 election process were also based on the preliminary OSCE-ODIHR monitoring report, whose findings were officially contested by the Albanian government. Sali Berisha published a letter from Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, who asked the internationals to maintain a balanced monitoring report, a request that was considered shameful by the former prime minister.
The final OSCE-ODIHR monitoring report has not yet been published pending final certification of the parliamentary elections by the CEC. (A2 Televizion)
