From the Cathedral of St. Paul in Tirana, the politicians conveyed their greetings to all believers on the occasion of the Christmas holiday.

The first to visit the cathedral was President Bajram Begaj, who in his message distributed on social media calls for unity and for the reconstruction of bridges of communication between people.

In a world full of challenges, Christmas is a call to rebuild bridges of understanding and strengthen the spirit of unity among us. Christmas reminds us that no difficulty can extinguish the light that arises within us when we act with love and faith.

The speaker of the Assembly, Elisa Spiropali, also conveyed a congratulatory message, emphasizing religious tolerance. "Everyone should learn from this tolerance, but especially we politicians. To be guided by love, respect and understanding, to abandon the language of hatred, division and conflict. Love is the highest human value and it should permeate our lives," she said.

Even the leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha, after the visit to the St. Paul's Cathedral, wished that this day becomes an inspiration for all believers. "I wish all the Catholic believers, but also all the believers of God that this is a holy day for every believer. The day on which the god was born, the man who with his life and thoughts did more than anyone else for the morality of Western civilization," he said.

Prime Minister Edi Rama chose to make his congratulations through social media, where along with the message for the faithful he shared the photo of a recently restored 17th century icon. (A2 Televizion)
