"I have not considered joining any formation that divides the opposition." This is the stance that the Republican Party seems to be taking in this election.
Asked on "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli on Sunday evening on A2 CNN if he had considered joining what has been called the "third pole" in the opposition camp, the chairman of this political party, Fatmir Mediu, stated that with the electoral system that our country currently has, this would be a kind of "luxury."
"If pluralization is about collecting votes that do not translate into mandates, then these go doubly in favor of Edi Rama... Rational politics is when votes translate into mandates. That is why we created the opposition federation, to include all political parties," Mediu explained.
For this situation, Mediu blames the ruling party, which, as he stated, destroyed the opposition with the constitutional changes.
But how guilty can the opposition itself be for the actions taken over the years?
"We have given it to Edi Rama. The idiocy of the opposition is endless. With the decisions he has made after 2013. Whether it is with the Justice Reform or with the burning of mandates," explains the PR leader, adding that he himself was against these decisions.
