Chris LaCivita's arrival in Albania is in line with the approval of American institutions. This is what the Republican Party chairman declared in the studio of "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli on Sunday evening.
Mediu says that he, along with three other colleagues, negotiated with LaCivita to bring him to Albania in order to assist the Democratic Party during the electoral campaign.
"It was not an easy negotiation. Without a doubt, the opinion of American institutions was also taken into account. I do not believe that he would break a relationship with Trump to create a relationship with Berisha. It would be naive to believe this. Or if he broke relations with the US because he would protect Berisha, who is corrupt," explains Mediu.
He explains that opinions were also taken within American institutions, so it was assessed whether or not his arrival was necessary to manage the electoral campaign.
Mediu also rejected the accusations of lobbying in this case, as according to him it is about an agreement for the management of the Democratic Party's electoral campaign.
But what should we expect next regarding the DP's relationship with American partners, after the Trump administration comes to power?
The media says that what follows is a very solid report from the opposition and the US, in the interests of the Albanian state.
We recall that Chris LaCivita has already started working on the Democratic Party's election campaign since the first day of his presentation.
In his first appearance with the leading Democrat, he said he would help Berisha, "an old friend of the US, to be elected prime minister." (A2 Televizion)
