The majority has opposed the initiative of Democratic MP Lefter Geshtenja, which aimed to give Muslim believers a 2-hour break on Friday to pray.
Chestnut had also proposed that employers who had more than 50 employees of the Muslim faith would have to build a special environment for their prayer, writes A2 CNN.
So, according to Geshtenja, every believer should have the right to take 2 hours off every Friday, in order to have the opportunity to pray at the Mosque closest to the workplace.
"The employer, in conditions where there are more than 50 employees of the Muslim faith, will have to build and guarantee a special environment for their prayer. The employer will be able to guarantee and respect the prayer schedules of the employees according to their prior notices.
"Also, every employee has the right to take a 2-hour break every Friday in order to have the opportunity to pray at the mosque closest to the workplace," said MP Geshtenja's initiative. (A2 Televizion)
