Berisha: We don't defend our votes with Kalashnikovs, but we will never recognize these elections

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that the opposition will never accept these elections as fair.

Berisha made the comments through a statement to the media, where he said that a common front against this regime must be created in Albania and the Diaspora.

Berisha also said that the DP will not defend votes with Kalashnikovs, but added that the opposition will make every effort to raise public awareness of what he calls the 'electoral farce'.

Excerpt from Berisha's speech:

These are just a part.

Every day we will present ourselves to Albanians with the solemn oath that these elections will never be accepted.

With full confidence that today there are desperate Albanians.

Today there are angry Albanians.

Today there are disappointed Albanians.

But today there are still tens of thousands of Albanians willing to fight for a free vote.

And this war will begin.

Let no one ever remember that a criminal like Edi Rama, a chief thief of this nation like Edi Rama, a chief bandit of this nation like Edi Rama, could impose these results on the free people of Albania, those who believe in freedom.

And these are the beginning.

Once again, I say to the Albanians, be patient, we have the documents.

We have done everything to supervise your vote.

Of course, we don't defend our votes with Kalashnikovs.

But now the war begins.

We never accept such choices.

We never accept such a result.

You will get to know each other here every day.

Is there a more shameful farce than this?

I'll bring it back. Albanians will learn, the diaspora will learn what the narco-state thugs have done with their votes.

And of course, a common front must be created in Albania and the diaspora.

This regime must be fought in every corner of this country and every corner of the world.

This regime humiliates Albanians like a savage invader.

Those who think they can impose such a farce on Albanians are gravely mistaken.
