Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared a video on social media, once again announcing the holding of the European Political Community Summit in Tirana on May 16. According to him, this summit will bring together the leaders of Europe's 700 million people, including leaders from countries outside the European Union. Rama stressed that Albania has earned this opportunity because of the respect and appreciation it has from everyone on the continent, writes A2 CNN.
"On May 16, we will host the summit of the European political community where we will have in Tirana the leaders of Europe's 700 million people beyond the EU. The reason why Albania got this opportunity is simple because it is a country that everyone looks at with respect and everyone has appreciation and it makes me very proud, but more important than pride is the motivation and inspiration to continue further," Rama says in the video posted on Facebook, writes A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Rama expressed pride that European leaders will gather in Tirana, describing this as a special moment for Albania and the continent.
"Good morning and with pride in the fact that on May 16, the leaders of our entire continent of democracies, from London to Kiev and from Oslo to Ankara, will come together in the heart of Tirana for the Summit of the European Political Community, I wish you a good day," Rama writes. (A2 Televizion)
