The first ballot paper in the Diaspora has reached the first voter. The news was shared on social networks by Prime Minister Edi Rama, according to whom the ballot paper reached the first voter residing in Erlangen, Germany and voting in the Dibër district at 07:15. The leading socialist emphasizes that the diaspora vote has finally entered our democratic life.
"The diaspora vote has finally entered our democratic life. Today, at 07:15, the first voter from abroad, residing in Erlangen, Germany, a voter in the Dibër district, received the envelope with the ballot from the Central Election Commission!"
Rama calls on Albanians in the diaspora to vote for number 5 on the ballot, reminding them of the possibility of Albania's membership in the EU. According to the socialist leader, it is up to Albanians to use their vote.
"We kept our word, now it is up to Albanians to use their vote. The vote of Albanians in Europe and the world in these elections is historic not only in itself, but also because it weighs as heavily as the historic opportunity to make our Albania a member of the European Union, closing negotiations with the EU by 2027."
