MP Arben Pëllumbi has not expressed any regret over the fact that his name was not included in the closed lists of the Socialist Party, but will compete on the open list of Tirana.
From outside Parliament, he told reporters that they had known about the innovations on the SP list for months and the names were not a surprise at all.
"I don't believe this. It's not something that impresses us, since we've been discussing this for months, we've decided. There was nothing surprising about this list," said Pëllumbi, adding that if he doesn't win a seat in the Assembly, he will do " what I've always done ."
Regarding the race in the Tirana district in the May 11 elections, he said it will be a close fight as there are only 7 or 8 seats at stake.
"Of course it will be a tough race, but let's keep in mind that 37 names on the open list are competing for 7 or 8 seats. This is not discussed. But in the end, the political force that we represent will emerge to lead the country towards the European Union. So beyond the individual name, we look at the contribution to the party," declared the majority legislator.
Meanwhile, the MP for the Lezha district, Eduard Ndreca, said that he has no regrets about the fact that he was left out of the SP lists.
"It doesn't matter, it's important that the SP wins. Not at all. It doesn't matter, I have held very important positions in the SP and the SP has given me a lot. I will do my utmost to ensure that the list wins," declared Ndreca.
