The parliamentary group of the Socialist Party has sent a request to the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, after lighting the cigarette lighters during the plenary session the day before. It calls for disciplinary action against 3 opposition MPs, specifically Saimir Korreshi, Elda Hoti and Lindita Metaliaj.
"The situation repeated by the opposition MPs at the beginning of every session, hindering its regular development, has become intolerable. The chaos created by certain opposition MPs in the session of November 9, 2023, by removing the chairs and putting them as barricades, is against the rules of the assembly and the code of conduct. The situation in the Assembly hall worsened even more when MP Saimir Korreshi was seen taking some cigarettes from the bags of MPs Elda Hoti and Lindita Metaliaj, making it impossible to conduct the session", the socialists' request states.
They require the meeting of the secretariat, votes and ethics for the evaluation of the disciplinary measure. (A2 Televizion)
