The Court of Tirana decided today to suspend the case for the review of the request of Lulzim Basha for the approval of the National Assembly on September 2, accepting the request of the group of deputies led by Gazment Bardhi. Judge Niko Rapi has concluded that without resolving the conflict that is in the Supreme Court on the National Assembly of December 11, no subsequent National Assembly or amended Statute can be developed and considered valid.
In this way, the Statute issued on September 2, through which Lulzim Basha was also appointed Chairman of the Parliamentary Group, has not been recognized by the court.
The group of deputies mandated by the National Council called by the General Secretary of the DP Gazment Bardhi has been recognized as a party by the Court of Tirana, thus representing the Democratic Party of Albania in the trial. They asked the court to suspend the case, a request that was accepted by the Court of First Instance in Tirana.
The trial for the statutory changes was suspended at the request of the Basha group itself. The trial will now be awaited for the request of 7 DP deputies, who want to remove Lulzim Basha's name from the party register after he resigned. (A2 Televizion)
