Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the Socialist Party has all the merits for the Justice Reform, a reform which, according to him, would never have happened under previous governments.
Rama made the comments during a meeting with the socialist assemblies of units 1, 2, Pezë, Ndroq and Vaqarr, as he said that previously the government administered justice.
Rama also said that the SP undertook this reform to "give the sword to the lady of justice, knowing that that sword could also cut off the 'head' of the SP."
"I don't know that from 1912 until after we passed the reform and after the SPAK and GJKKO were established, any public political person was arrested by a prosecutor and judge, an investigation was conducted and a conviction was made, this person was connected to those in government. We have done this, because others have done it.
They say 'how did you do it when your people were also caught?' Because the mission of the SP is to create a democratic European state for Albanians, whoever takes on the leadership must take on all the pain that a process entails. This is justice and the lady who is known as the symbol of justice.
The government had the sword of this in its hand and it cut off the heads it wanted and spared those it did not want to cut, we handed the sword to the lady of justice, considering that that sword will cut off heads that could be ours too. There is no other way, this is the leadership of the Socialist Party to build a state.
