"I liked the meeting, as you saw for yourself it was the most silent anti-rally recorded in the history of mankind."
This is how Sali Berisha describes the rally held by Edi Rama with Tirana Municipality employees in "Skënderbej" Square. Invited to the "Debat" show on A2 CNN, the democratic leader described this meeting as the start of the countdown to Rama's power and compared it to a similar organization by the last former communist leader, Ramiz Alia, in 1990.
"In 1990, Ramiz Alia called a rally of this nature. That rally also signed the rollback towards its end. Edi Rama did the same thing," Berisha said.
He claimed that he had followed his political opponent's speech very closely and, according to him, Rama showed fear: "I give myself courage with this rally."
Returning to his statements in recent days about the dissolution of SPAK, Berisha, to reinforce his position, took American President Donald Trump as an example: "Three days ago, Donald Trump dissolved the New York prosecutor's office. Two days ago, Donald Trump dismissed all the prosecutors appointed by Joe Biden. Because only political prosecutors have been proven."
But, when asked about uniting votes with Edi Rama against the Justice Reform, Berisha denies any possibility of this scenario. (A2 Televizion)
