July 31 is the deadline for all commercial entities located near national highways to move themselves from the space they have occupied and which has become a risk to road safety. After this deadline, penalties are foreseen for all entities that have refused to implement this decision.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, accompanied by the Chief Inspector of IKMT, Dallëndyshe Bici, and the Director of ARRSH, Gentian Gjyli, were on the Kamëz-Laç road axis, where they inspected the progress of the action, once again repeating the call to businesses to cooperate in this initiative.
Balluku warned that there will be no tolerance for any entity, emphasizing that road safety remains a continuous priority. "We informed a week ago, we called on all businesses and entities located in the areas of national axes to take measures and free up space, given that they have been violated in many cases, especially in the case of vehicle cemeteries, where vehicles are located that are traded for spare parts or for other reasons that according to a normative act of 2011 must be located 1 kilometer away from the national road," declared Balluku, writes A2 CNN.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked those businesses that have begun to withdraw from the occupied areas on the sides of national axes, while inviting citizens to denounce any case where violations of public spaces are identified.
"This entire reform will go to its conclusion, freeing up every inch of space. The Albanian Government is more committed than ever. All our troops are on the ground. We ask for the cooperation of citizens, as many indications come from their messages, which in most cases turn out to be accurate and fair. So we urge you to continue and denounce any case of violation of public spaces or road safety," Balluku underlined.
Chief Inspector Bici and Director Gjyli announced that IKMT and ARRSH groups are on the ground to follow the entire process and notify businesses about the implementation of the decision. (A2 Televizion)
