The "San Raffaelo" Hospital Center will co-manage with the Albanian side the modernization of the QSUT in Tirana as well as the transformation of the University of Medicine. Prime Minister Rama's objective is that by 2030, the QSUT will turn into a center of excellence for the entire Balkans.
"Today we open a whole new page and the ambition is to make this hospital center the reference point for the entire Balkans and turn it into a center of excellence among the centers of excellence in Europe. The goal is that by 2030, on the one hand, the university hospital center will undergo exactly the transformation that the San Raffaele group has brought to Poland, by being directly involved in all processes, by being directly involved in the management of the center, by being directly involved in the organization of the entire daily life of the center, by being directly involved in all processes and by uniting, in the true sense of the word, the professionals from both sides of San Raffaele and the QSUT. It is no longer surprising to imagine that in these years, we will manage to give all those who still need to go, not to Turkey, not to Italy, not to other countries, to be cured the opportunity to do so here in Albania.
In parallel with the center, we also want to transform the University of Medicine. We now have the first example with the Bock University of Vienna, one of the oldest universities in Europe, which has now begun the process of merging with the Agricultural University of Tirana to achieve that by the end of this decade, students from all over Europe will come to the Agricultural University of Tirana to study with all the parameters of the Bock University of Vienna and ultimately to obtain a diploma that is the same as the one obtained in Vienna. And the goal is the same that when the University of Medicine in Tirana receives the same diploma that is obtained at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and in the meantime Tirana will be a branch of the San Raffaele University, this is the objective of the end of the decade.
