The head of government stated that in 2013, when the Socialist Party took power, Albania was on the verge of collapse, very close to a collapse similar to that of the pyramid period.

"The hidden debt had blocked the government. In 2013, Albania was on the verge of a second collapse similar to the pyramids. The debt to companies was very large. The people saved the country by a thread.
