Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has spoken about the migrant camp that has been built in Gjadër, Lezha, which will host third-country nationals returning from Italy until their documentation is verified.
Meloni said from Tirana, where she is participating in the European Political Community meeting, that she has not visited the camp recently, but added that work there is continuing rapidly, which according to her shows that everything is on the right track.
Question: “Have you passed through the Migrant Center in Gjadra?”
"I didn't have time. The work is continuing and this also shows the speed of operation, proving, as we had promised, that we are on the right track," Meloni added further.
Meloni also spoke about the situation in Ukraine, saying that the European Union must insist on a serious peace agreement, which will also have security guarantees for Kiev, writes A2 CNN.
"I think we will not look for alternatives, but we must insist on an unconditional ceasefire. We must insist on serious peace agreements, so that there are security guarantees for Ukraine. We are working in this direction," Meloni said.
At the moment of the meeting with the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama knelt down before Meloni, a gesture he has done on other occasions. (A2 Televizion)
