Socialist MP Etjen Xhafaj was invited to A2 CNN where, among other things, he spoke about the harsh reaction of the Socialist Party and its leader Edi Rama towards justice institutions after the arrest of Erion Veliaj.
Xhafaj denied that there was an organized attack against SPAK. According to him, everything must be done to ensure that justice institutions are up to standards, at a time when the country is aiming for rapid membership in the European Union.
"It's been 5 years since the justice reform was implemented. There is a record of things that are not being done. As the administration prepares for a quick accession to the EU, so that we also have a justice system with standards. We are not talking only about SPAK. At no point have we talked only about SPAK, but also about the court, the inspectorates. Our position has to do with the principle, with standards and not with specific names," Xhafaj said on "Off the Record" on A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
