The European Union values facts and evidence, declared Prime Minister Edi Rama as he presented the AI module developed within the European integration and membership platform, which is used every day by more than 1,400 integration experts. In his speech, the head of government praised the work of the Ministry of Public Administration and the AKSHI, emphasizing that thanks to them, Albania has emerged with its head held high at the Brussels tables in windowless rooms.
"You are the forerunner of an entire people there at the Brussels tables in the windowless rooms, where you have to face many times more questions than any other room and you have to leave with your head held high because otherwise they will not approach you again. Thanks to you, this has not happened; on the contrary, two open doors in two weeks are a novelty in the process as far as the region is concerned and are the most meaningful expression of the truth that this country is rapidly progressing towards becoming an EU member state. Why? Not because I wear sneakers when I meet with them, because they are gentle, nor because they are lazy to see what we do every day. They evaluate the facts, evidence, data and figures, they make assessments on other parameters and all the facts, figures and evidence say that this country deserves to be approached by them and they are bringing it closer and closer. This is the history we are writing. Everything we are living in our daily lives will be swept away by the wind. What will remain is the architecture of the new European state and our flag there in the courtyard of the EU."
At the presentation of the AI module, Rama spoke about the opening of two more doors on the corridor towards the united European family. According to him, this module will be completed in 2027 and 2030 will find Albania a member of the EU.
"With this model, we will be ready to close it within the deadlines and from a technical point of view, be considered ready within 2027, to give time to the political process, to give time to the ratification of the parliaments of the EU countries and within a two-year period that we foresee, the peak of 2030 will find us with our flag in line, the first, because in the language of Europe it starts with A, in our language it starts with Sh. And now we are at a stage where foreigners see us with A in what we do, while inside we are Sh...sh...sh...sh, a well-known story that haunts Albania forever, but which will end with EU membership."
