MP Arbi Agalliu, who is running in the May 11 elections under the coalition's acronym 'Right for Development' (composed of the Right 1912 and LZHK parties), has stated that throughout his time in the Assembly, he has stuck to one political line and has not made any changes.
Agalliu said that the 'Right for Development' coalition, led by Dashamir Shehi, is today the best political alternative that stands by justice, by Western allies and for changing the electoral code, for open lists.
He also said that the 'Right for Development' coalition will compete on May 11 with open lists, burning the closed ones.
"I resigned from the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, since the day the Court decided that the seal and logo should go to the re-establishment group. And from that moment with colleagues, citizens, supporters who believed in our resistance, based on three principles which are unconditional support of the justice system, support for internationals and above all the electoral code for open lists.
These three pillars would best represent what we believed and thought. That is why we created the new party Right 1912 some time ago and since September of last year, October and then, together with the LZHK led by Dash Shehi, we have already formalized a coalition where we have submitted lists with 186 names of candidates for deputies in all 12 districts. I will compete in the district of Vlora.
"We will unfortunately use the artifice of burning closed lists, as we believe in open lists. Closed lists serve as a cover to hide individuals who do not have the courage to come out to the Albanian electorate. I represent the right, not only by convictions, but also by contribution to the DP. I joined the DP when it came out in opposition with 1 million votes.
