Prime Minister Edi Rama, at a meeting with Albanian emigrants in Milan, said that the vote of Albanians should not be influenced by political divisions, but should be unified under the direction of the Socialist Party.
According to him, this should be done with the aim of bringing Albania to the "European Union table" within a decade.
"Right now, Albanians should not miss this chance that is an encounter with history. And we cannot miss it either for Kujtim Gjuzi's mustache, or for the personal plight of the "swamp owl" that hides under Kujtim Gjuzi's mustache."
Therefore, today is the day that every Albanian, every parent living in Albania, Italy or elsewhere, will leave their children something great, something extraordinary, something that you have missed: an opportunity to make the great dream a reality, overcoming all party divisions, all trenches and barricades, all gaps and quarrels, to unite the Albania of all, of socialists and democrats, at the table of the European Union", said Rama, writes A2.
"Once we become aware of the destiny that has been given to us, like a bird in the hand, the more certain it is that with our own hands we will end the history of a people treated as a second-class people. We will end the contempt and exclusion from our European destiny and we will leave our generations a rightful place in the European Union," Rama added.
