Summer school in public education, 1 thousand students in Tirana and Durrës play games and eat with their teachers

School is officially over. All pre-university students have started their vacations.

But this year, 10 public educational institutions in Tirana and Durrës will offer summer school for the first time, writes A2.

The pilot project will start on Monday, June 16 and will last two weeks. 100 primary school students from each school selected by the Ministry of Education have expressed their desire to participate in their school's summer activities.

The leaders of the pilot project show what students will do without books in their schools. For the first time, children are asked not to bring food from home, as it will be provided by the summer school project.

The pilot project, the first of its kind in public education, has started in 8 9-year schools in Tirana, 1 in Kamëz and one school in Durrës. Teachers who will engage in this initiative will receive a supplement to their salary.

Meanwhile, many parents expect this service to be extended to all schools in the country to offer children entertainment on summer days and as little time spent in front of electronic devices as possible. (A2 Televizion)
