Portugal-France is the grand final of the U-17 European Championship, which will be played on June 1, at the "National Arena".
Portugal defeated Italy in the semi-finals on penalties, with regular time and extra time ending in a 2-2 draw, writes A2.
The Blues started the match well and took the lead in the 20th minute through Samuele Inacio. But the celebration did not last long. Portugal equalized after eight minutes through Stevan Manuel and the first half ended with the scores 1-1.
The second half was a similar story. Italy regained the lead through Alessio Baralla, while Portugal responded with Tomas Soares in the 67th minute. Despite numerous chances, regular time ended in a 2-2 draw and the match was decided on penalties, where the Portuguese were more accurate.
The Portuguese goalkeeper was decisive with his saves and that was enough to give Portugal qualification to the grand final against France, who earlier defeated Belgium 3-2 at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium.
