The two defensive centers of the Albanian national football team, captain Berat Gjimshiti and the substitute who holds the armband in his place, Ardian Ismajli, were injured while playing for their respective teams in Serie A.
In just 4 minutes difference from each other, Ismajli and Gjimshiti left the playing field, in the matches Empoli-Leçe and Udinese-Atalanta.
Ismajli was the starter in Empoli's match against Lecce and after a counterattack by his friends, he signaled from the bench that he could no longer continue by lying on the ground and asked for a replacement.
After receiving assistance from the medical staff, Ismajli told the doctors that he was dizzy and was immediately taken to the bench.
Meanwhile, in the challenge that Atalanta played as a friend in the capital, Gjimshiti collided head-on with an opponent and ended up bleeding on the field.
The doctors bandaged him, but it seemed that he might have a hematoma, so the replacement of the other red and black defender was requested. (A2 Televizion)
