The Mexican approached the Inter Miami striker at the end of the first match against Kansas City, valid for the North and Central American Confederation Champions League.
The scene was captured by cameras broadcasting the game, while Kansas City officials also reported the incident.
The confederation immediately launched an investigation and deemed the action inappropriate and a violation of the norms of the code of conduct.
