Good news comes for the Colombian soccer player, Luis Díaz from his hometown, where the left-wing guerrillas have released his father, who was held hostage for 13 days.
Luis Manuel Díaz was handed over by ELN members to United Nations and Catholic Church officials after he was kidnapped on October 28 in the city of Barrancas.
The father of the Liverpool star was then transferred by helicopter to the city of Valledupar where he will undergo medical checks, however it is reported that he is in full health and there are no signs of abuse.
Diaz's parents were kidnapped by gunmen while they were staying at a gas station in the province of La Guajira, the woman was released after a few hours, while the father was held hostage for 13 days.
