In highly unusual temperatures for Londoners that went as low as -8 degrees Celsius, Chelsea managed to win in Kazakhstan, climbing to the top of the table in the Conference League.
London Blues managed to beat Astana 3-1. After 14 minutes of play, Marc Guiu put Enzo Maresca's team in the lead with an assist from Pedro Neto.
Just five minutes later, the Spanish striker scored his second, while Renato Veiga tripled Chelsea's lead in the 39th minute.
Astana narrowed the lead in the 45th minute when they scored 3-1 through Tomasov.
The second half was again dominated by Chelsea, but no goals were scored by either team.
Chelsea leads the table now with 15 points, while the last match is played at home against Shamrock Rovers. (A2 Televizion)
