Rey Manaj in the running for the best player award for the second qualifying matches of the 2026 World Cup.
The Albanian footballer was one of the best on the field in the match against Andorra. Not only did he score two goals in the opposing goal, but he also helped his teammates with quick actions and rhythmic play.
His performance was also praised by UEFA, which has selected him as one of the possible candidates to win the award for the Best Player of the Second Round of the qualifiers. Through a voting process, where every fan can express his opinion, the European football governing body will announce the chosen footballer on Thursday evening.
Along with Rey Manaj, other well-known European football players such as Poland's Śviderski, Norway's Ødegaard and Bosnia-Herzegovina's Hajradinović are also in the running for this special award.
Voting is open on the official UEFA website and all fans can vote until Thursday at 3:00 PM.
