A spectacular final, as befits an "El Clasico"!
Barcelona won 3-2 against Real Madrid after 120 minutes of play and won the Copa del Rey. With Kylian Mbappe starting from the bench and Robert Lewandowski injured, the two teams gave a match full of emotions, pace and a lot of tension.
From the beginning, Barcelona tried to score on Courtois' goal, but neither Yamal nor Kounde could find the net. The advantage goal came in the 28th minute, scored by Pedrin who shot hard from outside the area and sparked the Catalan celebration. However, this did not last long. In the second half, the Madrid team turned everything around. Ancelotti activated all his cards, bringing Mbappe onto the field, and it was the Frenchman who tied the score in the 70th minute.
After him, it was Tchouameni's turn who only a little later turned the score to 1-2 in favor of “Los Blancos”. However, the Catalans did not give up and 6 minutes before the end of regular time they scored with Ferran Torres. In the 96th minute, a suspicious episode that aroused much controversy was the foul in the area against Raphinha that the referee initially awarded a penalty and after a review and with the VAR system called the simulation of the player.
The winner was only decided in extra time. Kounde scored in the 115th minute and sparked the Catalan celebration.
