Amidst the most complicated season since Pep Guardiola took charge, Manchester City are reportedly considering Paul Pogba's return to the Premier League.
The world champion midfielder with France is a free player after terminating his contract with Juventus, so he was contacted by "The Citizens" to compensate for the long absence of the Golden Ball winner, Rodri.
The Independent reports that the 31-year-old, who previously played for Manchester United, has a big admirer in the city and that is Pep Guardiola.
Pogba, who was banned for 18 months for doping, will be able to resume playing from March 2025 by choosing the team of his choice after his contract with Juventus was terminated in November.
The English paper also recalls the difficulties City could face in the winter transfer window, given the uncertainty over the outcome of the trial over repeated breaches of the Premier League's financial rules, with a final decision expected in February.
Until now, Pogba has hinted that he would like to play again in Serie A or try an experience in La Liga or Bundesliga. Recently, there was also talk of a move to Saudi Arabia or the American MLS.
