The 114-year-old race is one of the three most important cycling events in the world. It is broadcast in 200 countries around the world and is watched by over 800 million viewers.
If Prime Minister Rama described this event as "just like having Cristiano Ronaldo on a bicycle", Minister Manastirliu emphasized the promotion of the country.
The first stage of the Tour of Italy starts in Durrës on May 9, 2025. After 164 kilometers, the cyclists will arrive in Tirana.
The second stage, on May 10 in the capital, is only 13.7 km long, while in the third stage on May 11, the race will take place in Vlora, to take advantage of the mountainous terrain, crossing most of the coast. (A2 Televizion)
