A pilot was killed and four passengers survived after a small plane crashed in Brazil on Thursday morning.
Surveillance footage shows a Cessna 545 plane landing on the ground when it suddenly skidded off the rainy runway at Ubatuba Airport, ending up exploding on the beach.
Mireylle Fries, her husband, Bruno Almeida Souza, and the couple's son and young daughter, were taken to the Santa Casa de Ubatuba Hospital and are in stable condition, Ubatuba Fire Department Captain Karoline Magalhães said.
Authorities in Ubatuba and the Department of Public Security in Sao Paulo also confirm that one person who was on the beach was injured.
