Security camera footage has captured the moment two Mexico City City Hall officials were executed in cold blood in broad daylight on Tuesday in the city center.
According to local media, the victims are two assistants to the mayor of the Mexican capital, Clara Brugada, writes A2 CNN. They are the mayor's personal secretary, Ximena Guzman, and her advisor Jose Munoz.
According to reports, Guzman was driving to work and had stopped in the city center to pick up a colleague. As the car stopped, two gunmen were seen getting off the motorcycle and shooting Munoz, leaving him dead on the road. They then shot Guzman, who was inside the car, at least four times, killing him instantly.
Violence against officials and politicians in Mexico has become almost commonplace in all regions of the country. These assassinations are often attributed to drug cartels, which through violence seek greater influence in the country's political life. (A2 Televizion)
