There are some things in life that just don't get done – like taking someone's ice cream. So when the mother of a 4-year-old boy in Wisconsin, USA, did just that, he took it upon himself to teach him a lesson: by calling the police, telling him that his mother should be jailed.
“My mom is acting up,” the 4-year-old told the 911 dispatcher, according to a recording obtained by CNN affiliate WTMJ. “Okay, what’s going on?” the police officer asked. “Come get my mom,” the boy replied.
Then, the "culprit" intervened, took the phone - amid strong objections from her son - and said: "This little one took the phone, he's only four years old."
A few seconds later, she admitted: "I ate his ice cream, so maybe that's why you're calling the police."
In the background, her son continued to argue that they had eaten her ice cream.
Two police officers went to the family's home to make sure the alleged theft of the ice cream wasn't an excuse for a more serious situation, A2 CNN reports. When they arrived, the boy confirmed that his mother had eaten the ice cream and again demanded that she go to jail, according to police.
Police say the toddler eventually agreed not to press charges, telling them he didn't want his mother to go behind bars – he just wanted his ice cream.
Two days later, the officers surprised the young whistleblower with a new ice cream cone. (A2 Televizion)
